Welcome to the website of CGS
NEXT MEETING: April 7th-
Organizing Genealogy by Len Enlow,
one of the Founding Members of the Corona Genealogical Society, who held the position of President for five years (2002-2007),
also prepares and publishes the Society's monthly newsletter and has done so since its inception. He is also responsible
for the scheduling, and teaching much, of the Tuesday afternoon classes sponsored by the Society and the Corona Public
Library. Len retired from Boeing (formerly Rockwell International) in January 1999 after 33 years of service; he received
his BSEE from Pennsylvania State University and his MSEE from California State University at Long Beach. He is the author
of a technical book and holder of two patents.
Len is an experienced and accomplished speaker in various
electronic and genealogical fields; he became interested in family history about 40 years ago when he received memorabilia
on his family from a first cousin once removed. From that point on, he was hooked on genealogy and sought every fact, photo,
letter, and family history he could get from his family. All of this required some skillful organizing, of course, and
he brings lessons learned from his experiences to us in the form of a presentation on how to keep track of all those items
of genealogical interest. His handout for this presentation can be downloaded by clicking the link below.

Our previously scheduled speaker; Eric Siess, PhD, CG; has had
to postpone due to health reasons. We wish Eric a speedy recovery and look forward to hearing from him in January 2015.

Meetings are held in the Community Room, the first Monday of every month* from 6:30 - 8:30pm.

welcome to gather at 6:00pm.
*in the event that the first Monday is a holiday, the meeting is automatically "bumped" to the second Monday.
The society is open to anyone who wishes to research
his/her family history. Monthly programs are offered to assist us in successfully identifying our ancestors of all backgrounds,
cultures, ethnicities, religions, etc.
Members are also encouraged to assist others by presenting a topic that will
be of interest to the rest of the group and participating in the various projects the society hosts.
