We welcome new members
To join, we need a completed membership application and dues (renewable
each calendar year, January through December). To accomplish this, print out the application form (click on the link
below), complete the information, and bring to one of the Friday afternoon classes or to a regular meeting, or mail to the
address on the form along with a check for the appropriate amount: per individual - $20/year ($10 after 30 June); per
household - $25/year ($15 after 30 June). At this time, we are no longer collecting dues for 2008; dues received
are applied to 2009 (with the remainder of 2008 included at no additional charge).

Benefits of membership
While the meetings are open and free to the public, there are definite
advantages to becoming a member of the society. The group affords members opportunities to network with others as well
as to receive periodic emails about events (of our society as well as other genealogical and historical organizations), news
items of particular interest to club members, updates on meetings and related events, etc. Members are also invited
to present programs of particular interest to the rest of the group in exchange for a year's membership. New members
receive a "how to" welcome packet with forms and suggestions for beginning their family history research (while people can
join by mail, packets must be collected at a general meeting).
Members are also encouraged to participate in the society's mentoring program, providing
personal assistance to those either needing help with either beginning genealogy research or using computers (for genealogical
purposes). To become part of this new program of the society, please complete the submission form.
MENTORING SURVEY - CGS MEMBERS ONLY
(Non-members are not eligible for the mentoring program but non-members who send in surveys
will be sent membership invitations; our Genealogy Classes at Corona Public Library are open to the general public, CGS members and non-members alike.)
